AI transparency
This website uses artificial intelligence in clearly labelled places. Here you can find out which AI systems are in use, what they can and cannot do and who is responsible — in accordance with the EU AI Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689, applicable from 2 August 2026).
Sample content of the demo website — not legal advice. Have it reviewed by a qualified professional before real use and adapt it to the AI features actually enabled.
1. AI systems in use
Two AI features are in use on this website: an AI chat assistant answering visitor questions and an internal AI writing assistant supporting our editorial team. Both use language models operated in the European Union (Scaleway, France). No high-risk AI systems within the meaning of the AI Act are used; there is no automated decision-making with legal effect, no profiling and no emotion recognition.
2. AI chat assistant (labelling under Art. 50(1))
The chat assistant is labelled as AI throughout (notice in the chat window). It only starts after your consent (cookie category “AI chatbot”), your messages are anonymised automatically before processing (email addresses, phone numbers and IBANs are removed) and processed exclusively on EU servers. Replies are generated automatically and may contain errors — they are not binding information and no legal or professional advice. When in doubt the assistant refers you to our team.
3. AI-assisted content (Art. 50(4))
Texts on this website may be drafted with AI support. Every published piece of content is reviewed, edited and approved by a human — editorial responsibility lies with Formwerk Architekten & Ingenieure GmbH. For such editorially controlled texts the AI Act does not require separate labelling. We do not create deepfakes or misleadingly realistic depictions of persons.
4. Risk classification and limits
The AI features in use fall into the limited-risk category (transparency obligations). Prohibited practices under Art. 5 of the AI Act (e.g. social scoring, manipulative techniques) do not take place. The obligations for the underlying language models (general-purpose AI models) rest with the model provider; we deploy the models via an EU interface and comply with the transparency and diligence duties applying to us, including training the people working with AI (Art. 4 — AI literacy).
5. Your options and contact
You can use this website entirely without AI: the chat assistant stays disabled without your consent and all information is also available via the regular pages and the contact form. Questions about our use of AI are answered by Formwerk Architekten & Ingenieure GmbH, Musterstraße 12, 10115 Berlin, info@formwerk.example. Information on the processing of personal data can be found in the privacy policy.
